In CA, during the 1990s, some aspirational names parents chosen for their kids:

Harvard (8, all black)
Yale (15, all white)
Princeton (18, all black)
Doctor (0)
Lawyer (3, all black)
Judge (9, 8 white)
Senator (3, all white)
President (2, black)

On what makes a perfect parent (based on kids’ test scores), the work has to be done during the spouse-finding stage: it helps if the other gene-contributing party owns many books, and has done reasonably well in school.  Once the child is born, reading to her, or taking her to museums, won’t do much.
