"The Rabbi's Cat" [.]
Nov. 5th, 2005 09:48 am__ The rabbi's daughter got married. ('In their house, they have a door. Who do they think they are?')
__ The rabbi accompanies the newly-weds to Paris. He goes into a church for shelter. ('I'll take off my hat but keep my skullcap.')
__ The rabbi goes un-kosher big-time. ("Lord, tomorrow I'll go back to fearing you. Blessed are you, Lord our God, who allow us to transgress.")
__ The rabbi's nephew is a struggling musician. The rabbi plays the tarbukah with him. ("This one is beautiful, see, there's mother-of-pearl here, and if you remove the skin, it makes a very original vase.")
Nephew: 'So when she doesn't come home at night I get drunk and if it goes on much longer I'll end up blowing my brains out.'
Rabbi: 'So there hasn't really been any talk of marriage yet, right?'
