    A cousin, Malka of the Lions comes to visit. ('He wouldn't care about woman who's covered in soap and afraid of lions.')

    The rabbi crams for a French dictation test. ("Find me a monotheistic fable. With animals, normal animals whose names we know.")

    On the way to the grave of Messaoud Sfar, the rabbi meets an old Arab who is visiting the same ancestor. ("Yes, we should even educate asses. But without illusions.")

Nice to know:
__ Goats climb up the acacia trees to graze.
__ When prayer books are old and unusable we carry them to the graveyard for burial as if they were old sages.
