The artwork on the cover looks Mogul, so I didn't realize it until I got home that the book is by Orhan Pamuk, the only Turkish writer I've heard of. And I only learned his name because Ekrem has a rogue named Pamuk in Warcraft who saved Telemere's bacon once, but his rogue was named after a pet rabbit he had.

The first chapter is titled 'I am Red.' The second chapter is 'I am Black.' It took me another chapter ('I am a Dog') to get Mr. "White"'s running pun. (He also has books with titles like "Snow", "The White Castle", "The Black Book").

More Warcraft insidiousness - the first chapter, narrated by a decaying corpse down inside a well, read like an introduction to some quest.
