You know Tintin is in America when the favored exclamation phrase is "Alcatraz!". "Wriggling rattlesnakes!" has a nice ring too.
As Tintin dons cowboy gear: "It's the very latest fashion... cartridge belt slung to the right... Last winter's models, all to the left..."
Mighty Sachem: "Let us raise the tomahawk against this miserable Paleface with the heart of a prairie dog!" "Pipe of peace! I can't remember where in the world we buried the hatchet when we finished our last bit of fighting..."

One panel with Tintin riding a smiling elephant with the poor addled Doctor Sarcophagus would make a nice postcard; a later one with Tintin and the raj in victory parade begs to be made into a great jigsaw puzzle.

The signage is great. (I note with some pride that other urban settings Tintin finds himself in don't get the same treatment.) The background of a scene with an arrogant European gent says “打到帝国主义”. “兴化桂圆”“关山桃枣” makes me nostalgic.
