I'm pretty sure I read all of the Tintin books by the age of 11. This time around, it's the art that grabs me. It is the visual equivalent of a nice bowl of oatmeal with a lot of toppings -- nothing striking, consistently good and comforting, and one can have it every morning without being bored with it.
My favorite spread is the "Battle of Zileheroum". It's a nice mash-up of stylized eastern European miniature art and Hergé's more colloquial style.
Tintinologists impress me.
