fiefoeI don't quite see how Liza Lutz will get a series out of this eccentric family of sleuths, since this one is very much not plot driven. (The missing person case was more or less an afterthought.)
Highlights: 14-year-old Rae and her ginger ale on the rocks; M&A lawyer David getting a Puff-the-magic-dragon tattoo to replace his girlfriend's erased one. (This particular romantic vignette reminds me of that beach duet in "The Jerk", capped by Bernadette Peters' fine trumpeting.)
Ari Graynor's tomboyish voice suited the book well.
