I hope this is not quoting too out of context, but L Barnett & M Chambers did say:
    Because the theories of quantum physics are not yet universally accepted, the concept of energy healing confounds many.

The hand-positions in the illustrations at the end of the book look very soothing. I visualized them after turning the lights out, and that seemed to help me fall asleep.
